About My True Body: Helping You Rediscover the Blueprint for Your True Body
Inside you lies the blueprint for your true body—the lean, strong, and healthy body you were designed to have.
When you repeatedly access this blueprint over time, your outer form comes to more closely resemble this inner image. In a spa or clinic setting, the My True Body program teaches you to access your true body blueprint to help you automatically make better food choices, release cravings, increase your natural desire to exercise, and manage emotions that used to send you to the refrigerator.
While other weight management programs are primarily behavioral in nature, My True Body is a neurobehavioral program—that is, it makes use of naturally occurring psychophysical processes in the body to set up a mind-body communication system. Participants use this system to reduce food cravings, induce healthy food choices, increase the desire to exercise, create the sensation of an already lean core body, and eliminate the negative emotions that often lead to impulse eating. In addition, the program is designed to identify and eliminate common barriers to weight management that operate at an unconscious level and often can't be identified or treated using traditional behavioral methods.
My True Body is a highly focused and fast-paced program, and it produces immediate results. Because the program creates outcomes "on demand," including instant stress and emotional release along with an emotional boost, it creates confidence and enthusiasm in participants.
How Does It Work?
Everything you need to know for healthy weight control is already genetically programmed inside your true body, waiting to be rediscovered.
New understanding of how the mind and body work together makes it possible to unlock the genetic knowledge of your true body, the strong and healthy body you were designed to have before poor eating habits and lack of exercise turned into weight gain. This knowledge is often buried beneath our conscious awareness, but the program teaches skills to tap into it using verbal commands. We can ask the true body to direct healthy food choices, eliminate cravings for excess sweets and fats, control emotional and stress related eating practices, and create energy and enthusiasm for exercise.
Developed by NeuroBehavioral Programs, Inc., My True Body is based on the same scientific concepts as its highly successful pain management program. Please note that NeuroBehavioral Programs are designed to complement and not replace your regular medical care.
The My True Body program can be conducted individually or in groups of six to eight. The training can be conducted in five weekly group sessions or abbreviated for vacation or spa environments. Participants in the weekly sessions are asked to practice for no more than five minutes three times a day. Here's an outline of the three training sessions:
- Session 1 is devoted to establishing the feedback systems needed to gain conscious control over stress, negative emotions, and food cravings, and to access the genetic blueprint of the true body.
- Session 2 is devoted to an introduction to change and to identifying common unconscious resistances to weight management.
- Session 3 is devoted to further identification and removal of barriers to weight management using mind-body communication techniques. This session is also devoted to reviewing successes, troubleshooting barriers to the practice required to make the program a success, and teaching ways of identifying and eliminating additional resistances that emerge. This sessions concludes with the introduction of a new tool that teaches clients a mental-internal balancing technique for attaching deeply to the My True Body program.
The program includes a workbook, a CD, and a QuickStart card.
My True Body has been field tested on sixty volunteers in two different locations over the course of two years. Results of this field testing show that the program produces desired outcomes and creates confidence and enthusiasm in participants.
